June news

It's coming up to a busy period for the Bar.

After an absence of two years we are also delighted to welcome Sky TV back to Brondesbury.

It wouldn't be summer without a BBQ, and the Brodie family have kindly donated one to the Club.

It's going to be used this Saturday offering you food while you get in the mood for the Football, with England kicking off their World Cup campaign against Italy, It's an 11pm start but you better get to the Brondesbury Bar early to guarantee a good seat in-front of the telly. And to sample the BBQ food.

Throughout the month the Bar will be stocking beers from as many of the participating countries as Mike Warren can lay his hands on. Finding an Iranian beer may be difficult....

There are still tickets remaining in the Brondesbury World Cup Sweepstake, Argentina & Germany are yet to be picked. Tickets £1, winner takes all. Contact Adam Lennox at [email protected].

BBQ time again on Saturday June 28th, at the Tennis Summer Picnic. It is Tennis finals day, followed by the BBQ offering burgers and sausages - if not to your taste then please bring your own meat.  And bring a salad or dessert to share with everyone else's contributions. Entry to cover costs is £5. The Bar will be open of course. For music and entertainment we would like all those who will be attending to send us your 8 Desert Island discs - these will be played during the evening - with a moment to celebrate the most popular song and artist. Please send your desert island disc selection to Maggie Baxter at [email protected]

Lastly, it's light late, it's lovely weather, and the football (and soon Wimbledon tennis) will be on regulary in the Bar - but PLEASE consider our neighbours when you leave - especially if it's late - and GO QUIETLY!
