BRING YOUR SAD FACES

Yes, it’s true - Angus really is leaving us. Don’t forget to come along to the club on Sunday 2nd July to say goodbye.

Events will start at 1.30pm with a sign up for Nicola’s Mix & Match tournament. Play is expected to start at 2pm, so make sure you are warmed up and mentally prepared.

Our friend Sirous is hosting a BBQ from 4pm onwards. In honour of Angus’ contribution to food consumption in the North West London area, the club is providing one free plate per person. This will take place on the top lawn near the tennis pavilion. Drinks can be purchased from the bar in the main clubhouse.

Sports Day group warm-up begins at 4.30pm on courts 1, 2 and 3. Teams and participants will be selected during this choreographed ordeal.

Prize Giving and Surprise Giving are scheduled for 6pm in the tennis pavilion. Bring a handkerchief and make sure you are suitably hydrated.

The BBQ and music will continue until the neighbours call the police.

[and now, a few words from Laura Davies]

Hello everyone,

A few of us thought it would be nice to arrange a collection for Angus for all his hard work coaching us, and many of our children, over the years. As being on court with him is always quite an experience, I was hoping we might be able to rustle up enough to buy some form of experience for him and Jenny, possibly whale watching or a ski pass. We are doing a little digging around to see what might work, it will of course depend on the generosity of the members...

If you would like to contribute any amount at all, big or small, I’ve set up a Collectiv pot (click here or use the link below) which charges no fee if you do not 'tip'. You don't need to download any apps, you can just pay directly. Your donation will be anonymous, although I will be able to see who has donated, but I will of course keep this information private. I need the donations by 29th June so that I can get the present sorted before 2nd July.

There will also be a Brondesbury T-shirt (XXL) at the club in a bag in the wooden bowl on top of the fridge with some fabric markers. I thought it would make a welcome break from the classic leaving card, so when you’re next at the club please pop in and sign it / leave a message, do try not to let Angus see!

If you have any questions or problems with the link please drop me a What’s App message - 07956 603 936.

Please please do forward the link via Whats App to any members you are in regular contact with who you think might like to contribute, I'll be sending it round too.

Thanks so much and hope to see you on 2nd July!

Laura
