Tennis Leaders Course- 26th October

On Monday 26th October, Marina will be running a Tennis Leaders Course at Brondesbury for our young teenage players.

Tennis Leaders is aimed at 13 years plus and the content is suitable for older juniors just starting out on the tennis career pathway through to adult volunteers looking to support their local coach, referee or club official. 

It will run from 11.00am – 4.00pm and cover 3 modules: Introduction to Tennis, Running a Competition and Supporting your Coach.

The course costs £35 for the day. 

The Leaders then have to complete 6 voluntary hours at the club working with their coach, after which they receive a T-shirt and a Certificate and can then work as a 'volunteer', for which they get 'paid' their expenses. 

It is a great way to keep teenagers involved in the club, as they will be able to help with the Junior Programme and Holiday Camps.

Adult Autumn Term Programme

The below sessions are suitable for all abilities. With lots on offer there is something for everyone to benefit from and enjoy.

Cardio tennis 
The ultimate high–energy workout and is a great alternative to the gym, whilst improving your tennis skills at the same time! The class is suitable for any standard of play whilst burning up to 800 calories per session. 

Monday 9.30 – 10.30am



An excellent introduction to tennis and refresher course for those who have not played for some time.

It provides players with a sound knowledge of all the basic strokes and tactics, including topspin groundstrokes, volleys and serves. 


Tuesday 9.30 – 10.30am



Keep Fit
This class has been developed to help players stay injury free. By learning the correct movement and techniques, we aim to lengthen your tennis-playing life. Toning, stretching and low intensity exercises will be used to help you keep fit, iron out your bad habits and help you to exercise your body in a more efficient and effective way.


Having specialised in injury prevention during her Sports Science and Physical Activity degree, Judith is the perfect coach for this class.


Tuesday 10.30 – 11.30am



Designed for more experienced players who want to add something new to their game. Not working so much on their basic shots, but teaching more specialized strokes, positioning and tactics. 


Wednesday 10.00 – 11.00am


Sunday 3.30 – 4.30pm



Coffee Morning
A healthy mix of doubles matchplay, coaching tips and socialising!


Players are rewarded with some well-earned coffee and biscuits to enjoy together, all included in the price.


Thursday 10.00 – 11.30am



Team Training
Gives team members and those members wishing to play in a team, the experience of training together. We focus on refining all strokes, with particular emphasis on our doubles tactics, positioning and match skills.
