Dear Brondesbury members,

Bar opening hours

Dear members,

As some of you may know,  Marta's last shift at the bar was on Sunday. While we're working on backfilling the role please note that the bar will not be open as usual and as communicated in the newsletter. Saturday will be business as usual but opening hours in the next two weeks may be limited. During this period  you can bring your own alcohol to the club and I will be in touch as soon as I can with further updates.

Privacy Policy Updates

As of 25th May 2018 a new data privacy regulation comes into force, known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which supersedes the Data Protection Act 1998.

GDPR requires organisations to consider data they hold more closely, whether there is a requirement to hold the data at all and ensure robust security is in place for any Personal Data that organisations do hold.

As a result we are providing this updated data privacy policy to communicate how we are adhering to this new regulation.

Saturday 24th March: Race night for Crohn’s and Colitis UK

Ladies and Gentlemen of Brondesbury,

On Saturday 24th March, the cricket club will be holding a race night at the club to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK. As you may already be aware, this charity is close to many people’s hearts at the club after John Fosbraey, ex-first XI cricket captain, sadly passed away in 2016.

There will be seven horse races on the night projected on a big screen, with the opportunity to bet on each race. Entry to this fabulous event is only £2, which includes a raffle ticket and entry in to a game of "heads or tails."

We are also looking for sponsors for each of the seven races, either by donating a raffle prize or by a donation to the charity. Please contact Hugh ([email protected]) if you would be kind enough to consider being a race sponsor.

Everyone is welcome to this event, so please invite partners, friends, mums, dads - the more the merrier. It would be great to see some faces from the broader club

We hope to see a big turnout at the Bron on the 24th to support this fantastic cause. Please do forward this to anyone that you think may be interested. If there are any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the email address listed above.

All the best,

Hugh Gimber
