Junior Match Season Round-up
The coaching team are delighted and very proud of all our junior teams which competed in the Middlesex Aegon Team Tennis League this season. Our performances have surpassed those of previous years so congratulations to all those that participated.
8 & U - 2nd place.
As this was most of the players first time competing, the squad did exceptionally well. Their stand out performance was against eventual winners, Westway, which finished 16-16.
Squad: Josh, Charlie, Asger, Nadav, Sam, Maria, Adam, Zain, Joe & Gabriel.
9 & U - 3rd place.
Only one point behind 2nd place Totteridge, for many this was their first season competing on an orange court and all players adapted brilliantly. A 16 - 8 win in their last match rounded off a great season.
Squad: Clark, Caitlin, Jaap, Maya, Noah, Sammy & Arjan.
10 & U - 2nd place.
After a difficult start, the team managed to turn it around with two 12-0 victories against Will to Win and The Drive. All players made great improvements as the season progressed.
Squad: Sophie, Aanya, Sam, Jack, Rowan, Ed, Yuvraj, Sam & Louis.
12 & U Boys - 3rd place.
The boys showed great strength and persistence to win some very close games in 3rd set tie-breaks and match tie- break shoot-outs. Their best result was against Stormont, with a comfortable 10 - 2 victory.
Squad: Costi, Jake, Jonah, Vadim, Daniel, Josh, Lucas, Philip, Boris & Theo.
14 & U Girls - 2nd place.
The girls had a fantastic season in which they remained unbeaten until playing their final match, against eventual winners Kenton. Until this match they had not dropped a set!
Squad: Louise, Talia, Lindsay, Evelyn, Julia, Lauren & Anna.
