The secretary's report is document here (18 KB) .

The club treasurer's report is pdf here (337 KB) .

Our head coach's report is document here (17 KB) . Marina ended her report as follows:

Congratulations to Caitlin Amdor, who has been a member of Brondesbury since she was 3 years old. Caitlin finished the summer season ranked 2nd in the country 10&U. This is an amazing achievement and one that we are very proud of. Caitlin continues to train hard, but most importantly does it with a smile and such energy that it’s contagious. The next 12 months will be an exciting time as she enters the 12&U age group and will be starting to compete in Europe; we will all be cheering her on!

Lastly, it has become an annual tradition that we award The Robin Francis Sporting Spirit Cup to one of our juniors. This year’s award is going to one of our players who has made great progress and sets the standards for her peer group. She always works hard, is focused and fair in competition, supports her team mates and is fully committed to the club and representing us in all competitions. It’s an honour to watch her flourish on and off the tennis court. Congratulations to this year’s winner, Winnie Jewell.

The meeting continued with the discussion of the two major capital projects we have in plan, the toilet facility at the pavilion and the new court, for which we recently won planning permission on appeal. Regarding the toilets., we are on the point of receiving all requested tenders and plan to submit a funding application to Middlesex Tennis by the end of this month. John Chalmers is running with the overall project and Richard Abramson is taking on the funding side. The main concern is that the projected cost for the toilets is now close to £100k, significantly in excess of what we had anticipated. The present pavilion cost around £30k in 2010.

The new court, which is estimated to cost about £150k, will take a lower priority than the toilets project, as the latter is especially needed for young children attending camps and other coaching facilities. We have initiated the process of requesting tenders for the new court and hope to be able to submit a funding request to the (central) LTA for that by the year end. The LTA has requested we implement a court booking facility as part of this but we have made it clear that this against club long-standing culture. Their aim is to acquire court usage statistics to relate to their capital funding programme. We will offer to supply such statistics from other sources.
