Amanda Carreras, ranked 315 in the WTA world ranking, visited the club on Tuesday to train in preparation for the grass court season, in particular the Wimbledon qualifiers. It was a great opportunity for our kids to see Amanda play, as well as have a hit with her, with some joining in with a rally competition. At the end of the sessions Amanda took time out of her busy training schedule to answer some of the kids questions. It was great to have Amanda visit and we hope her visit will motivate the children to continue to improve their tennis skills

Amanda said after her visit “Thank you to Brondesbury for letting me use their great facilities to train before the grass court season starts. It was a special opportunity for me to show the youngsters at Brondesbury how much fun they can have in tennis and also answer some of their very difficult questions! I was really impressed with the standard of the kids and their commitment to getting every ball back. I will make sure Marina keeps me informed of their developments!”
